Product Overview

The VA1141C1 is a genuine Paccar DEF heater coolant valve designed for Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks equipped with DEF aftertreatment systems. This 12VDC solenoid valve controls engine coolant flow through the DEF heating circuit by opening and closing in response to temperature feedback or ECM commands.Β

Product Features

The VA1141C1 DEF heater coolant valve is manufactured to Paccar factory specifications for regulating coolant flow through the DEF heating system.

  • The 12VDC solenoid provides electrical actuation for opening and closing the coolant valve.
  • The valve regulates engine coolant flow through the lines or tank used to heat the diesel exhaust fluid.
  • During freezing conditions, the valve opens to circulate hot engine coolant through the DEF heating circuit.
  • Valve operation responds to temperature feedback received from the applicable system sensors.
  • The engine control module can command the valve to regulate DEF heating during vehicle operation.
  • Controlled coolant flow keeps the DEF at the required temperature for atomization and injection into the exhaust stream.
  • Maintaining usable DEF temperature supports the Selective Catalytic Reduction process used for controlling nitrogen oxide emissions.
