Product Overview

The 2131526 is a genuine Paccar DOC inlet catalyst module designed for Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks equipped with EPA21 MX-13 engines. Positioned as the first emissions-control stage, it oxidizes exhaust pollutants before the gases enter the diesel particulate filter or selective catalytic reduction system.Β

Product Features

The 2131526 DOC inlet catalyst module is manufactured to Paccar factory specifications for oxidizing exhaust pollutants ahead of the DPF and SCR stages.

  • Positioned at the inlet of the aftertreatment assembly, the DOC is the first emissions-control component contacted by the engine exhaust.
  • Carbon monoxide passing through the catalyst undergoes an oxidation reaction that converts it into carbon dioxide.
  • Unburned hydrocarbons react inside the catalyst and are converted into water and carbon dioxide.
  • Soluble organic material carried with the soot is burned off as the exhaust moves through the DOC.
  • Heat generated by the oxidation reaction raises the exhaust temperature before it enters the downstream DPF.
  • Higher exhaust temperature helps ignite and burn accumulated soot during the diesel particulate filter regeneration process.
  • Treated exhaust leaves the inlet catalyst and continues toward the DPF or SCR section of the aftertreatment system.
